LaserHub is a social enterprise committed to funding youth activities and other community support from it's income. So when you book an event or party at you know that that not only are you getting a fantastic day but also investing in young people's futures.
Laserhub particularly takes an interest in the development of its employees providing them with regular paid training to develop skills that add to their academic ones- to help make them rounded individuals. We volunteer time and resources to give school children and teenagers real world experience of business and entrepreneurism. For those interested in Music Laserhub pioneeered Band and open Mic nights and has employed a several BIMM graduates specialising in events or music production. All surplus income from these activities is ploughed back to provide more such events and better facilities.
In short, Laserhub attempts to work with young peoples interests and needs to enrich and develop skills and opportunities.
If you are a young person, hard working and have a great idea or find that you cannot get the business or commercial experience that you need - email us and see if we are able to help.
We hope to develop this further and expand opportunities and training that bridges the gap between training and business. For older teens for example we funded one person to develop commercial graphic art experience helping them to build a portfolio thereby enabling access to further education and providing an undegraduate with their first artistic commission. These provide both useful funding for young people but more importantly real world commissions that business would not fund and high value opportunities would not be available to the young people. Ideally we would seek to expand this linking more young people and businesses. Andrew also provides a business plan or idea sanity check and review service (without charge).
